Don't use furniture pads
Have you ever noticed that there are furniture marks on the floor? Perhaps, you usually drag your furniture to whatever arrangement you want to have. And since you are not using furniture pads, then you will definitely get scratches and marks on your beautiful floors. If you continue to ignore these scratches and marks, it will go deeper and deeper as you go along with the arrangements you have for your home. And aside from dragging your furniture from places to places, every time you sit down on a sofa or chair, the legs will mark the floor since you are not using furniture pads. And it will surely stay if you will not do anything about it at all.
Don't sweep regularly
This is one of the common unhygienic things for you to do. Of course, who would want to live in a place where the floor is covered with dust and other dirty stuff on the floor? I bet, nobody. Unless you are away from your home too long, then not sweeping your floor regularly would definitely ruin its beauty. Use the wrong rug pad

Don't have a mat near the door
Generally, this is one of the practices for most homeowners. Of course, you don't want to let the dirt from the outside be brought in the inside, right? That is the reason for you to have a mat near the door. However, if you don't have any mats, this can definitely damage your floor since all the dirty stuff can get inside. Moreover, the dirt you leave would possibility make some scratches and marks on the floor. That is why mats are there to protect the floor from any dirt from the outside.
Don't trim your pet's nails
If you are one of those homeowners who just love pets, their nails can also damage the floor. Of course, they like to roam around the house which can sometimes lead to scratches and marks on the floor. And if you are just going to ignore this matter, these marks will definitely make your floor dull and ugly in the long run.
